One tool per exam type
A quiz platform, a lockdown browser, a proctoring vendor and a spreadsheet for band scores. Four systems, four logins, four support queues - and no single record of what happened.
Formative quizzes, coursework, open-book papers and high-stakes proctored exams - authored, delivered and marked in one place, with security you dial up to match the stakes. Invigil records how each exam was actually taken, so academic judgement stays where it belongs: with your examiners.
A quiz platform, a lockdown browser, a proctoring vendor and a spreadsheet for band scores. Four systems, four logins, four support queues - and no single record of what happened.
Either every assessment is locked down like a final, or none of them are. Nothing in between, so staff route around the platform for anything formative.
Flags arrive as scores and probabilities with nothing attached. When a student appeals, there is no record of what actually happened at the desk - and the case collapses.
Per-sitting tokens bought in batches that expire. Run more assessments, pay more; run fewer, pay anyway.
Written answers are captured as they're composed - pauses, deletions, rewrites, pastes. Examiners replay the composition and decide for themselves. Every signal ships with the raw evidence attached.
One build fee, unlimited sittings, and the platform is yours outright. No batch purchases, no expiring credits, no penalty for growing.
Invigil never auto-fails anyone, and every session states the enforcement level actually reached on that machine. A managed lab PC and a personal laptop are never judged by the same yardstick.
This is the real interface, running on sample Unit 1–4 material and an imported cohort of twenty. Walk the stages, or ignore them and click around the app yourself - question editors, the test wizard, an authorship replay and the results inbox are all live.
Build your item bank from rich question types with media, tables and multiple acceptable answers. Tag once, reuse everywhere; assemble sets and clone them for variants. Open a question to see the editor, or preview any set exactly as a candidate will sit it.
Sample data only - this demo is not connected to a database, and nothing you type here is stored or sent.
Invigil is a signed desktop application - a web page has no authority over a student's machine. When the exam starts, the computer becomes an exam room.
Browsers and disallowed applications are closed and held closed. Network access narrows to the exam server. Anything that can't be blocked is recorded instead, with a timestamp and the name of the app that took focus - and the enforcement level genuinely reached on that machine is reported to examiners, so nobody is judged against a standard their hardware never met.
The scrubber replays essay composition keystroke by keystroke against a timeline of paste events, focus changes and webcam bookmarks. A 230-character block that lands in a single step tells its own story - nothing needs to accuse anyone.
Every row uses the same questions, the same candidate interface and the same marking tools. Only the perimeter changes.

The same clean, distraction-free screen for a Tuesday quiz and a final in the exam hall. Nothing to learn on exam day.
No second device, no authenticator app, no PIN sheet. Identity is assured by ID capture and webcam match - which is also the only approach that doesn't break proctoring rules.
A mandatory practice test runs the real client on the student's own machine, so camera, microphone and lockdown problems surface days early, not at 9am.
Objective sections mark themselves the moment a paper is submitted, so results move in days rather than weeks - and nothing is visible to a student until you release it.
Answers save locally every couple of seconds and sync in order when the network returns. A dropped Wi-Fi signal is an inconvenience, not an incident.
Approved assistive software stays open and is recorded as approved, so using it never looks like misconduct in review.
Granular roles control who sees what. Authors reach the question bank, markers reach their allocations, administrators see the estate. Standards without micromanagement.
Enrolments in, results out. LMS and SIS integration replaces CSV round-trips and manual re-keying.
Concurrent sittings across departments on UK-hosted infrastructure, with encrypted on-device backup and ordered resync so network disruption never becomes exam disruption.
Objective marking is instant, band conversion automatic, exports one click. Results move in days, not weeks.
Incumbent platforms rent you your own exams: per-sitting tokens, minimum batches, credits that expire unused every year. Invigil inverts the model.
Deliver assessment with integrity and a student experience that doesn't generate support tickets, while staff mark and return results in a fraction of the time.
Certification at scale, with the quality-assurance trail and evidence retention your accreditation depends on.
Purpose-built for IELTS-format papers: listening tracks with play rules, side-by-side reading PDFs, band-score conversion out of the box.
Secure, scalable assessment for corporate training, licensing and workforce development, on hardware your people already have.
All hosting and storage within the United Kingdom, encrypted at rest and in transit.
Candidates see exactly what is recorded. Configurable retention; deletion, not archival, past the window.
Approved assistive tools are allowlisted and never closed by lockdown. Captions available for listening tracks.
Session records and recordings are never used to train models. Human examiners make every decision.
Every session states the lockdown level actually achieved on that machine - no false confidence.
Identity is assured by ID capture and webcam match, not a second device that breaks proctoring rules.
Network drops don't end exams. Work continues locally and syncs, in order, on reconnection.
PDF + media bundle per session, checksummed, ready for the appeal file.
No. It records what happened and surfaces it for review. Every outcome is an examiner's decision, with the underlying evidence attached.
The sitting still runs, and the session records the enforcement level actually achieved. Examiners see the difference rather than assuming one.
Nothing visible to the candidate. Answers are written to disk every couple of seconds and upload in order once the connection returns.
No. One username, one password, and a webcam match against captured ID.
A single fixed build fee with the first year of support included, then an optional retainer. No per-sitting or per-candidate charges at any volume.
Bring one of your current papers. We'll author it live, sit it, and replay the evidence - thirty minutes, no slides.
